We're at that stage where nearly everything has already been done, all we can do is do what's already been done and do it better. The story has a plot, naturally. I know where I want it to go, and where the following parts will take these characters. The success comes if the readers like where it's going too. But writing is seldom for others. It's for ourselves, the things we want to read, and if there are people like us out there then it's a bonus. I cannot agree more on the editing.
