As Evelyn Hall said, "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it." That said I'll respond to both of your comments in order. Firstly, how can a character using a Mac offend you so deeply that you'll quit reading a narrative for that sole reason? It's an inanimate piece of technology that he owns, hardly a pivotal plot point. I, myself, own both a Mac and a PC. Adding to that, each narrative goes through rigorous redrafting procedures. Sadly, some errors are missed. Could you point them out? Although, in the first paragraph it is error free so you must have read further, after all? Second, no need for cheap insults. The taboo subjects I write about are to get me and my audience to a position they've never been to before. It's fiction, after all. That means it isn't real. I.M |
