“But all my family and friends will be there. I can’t do it.”
“Yes, you can! You said, just a little while ago, that you have done things that you didn’t think you could do, but you did them anyway. This is just another challenge. I will be there with you. Just trust me.”
“But…” Adam grabbed one of Laura’s arms as Summer grabbed the other one.
“Summer, help me get mom into the car. Dad, be ready if she tries to get away. You may need to stop her.”
Before Laura had proper time to mentally process what was happening, she found herself in the back seat of the car between Summer and Adam, headed to the hall where the party was planned. God, she was going to see all of her family and many of her closest friends this afternoon. She was going to be completely nude, and she was sure she was going to die from the shame of it all.
